Revealing Process

  • Natural Processing Trainings- online (map)

A new, advanced online training in the ongoing series, “Working More Effectively with Process,” working from a somatically-based, process orientation.

June 6 & 7, 2025

Friday and Saturday, 8:00 am- 3:30 pm Pacific Time

12 CE Credits  (See FAQ) on the website.

Training is limited to 27 participants.

Some topics will be presented by Craig, but open to a flow of questions, reflections and cases coming from the group.  We will do experiential exercises that arise as we go.

Craig will do some short demonstration sessions.  We may do some short breakout practicums, or may just do all the work with the whole group.

Role plays have proven to be a very effective way to reveal process and help participants see places where they have struggled in sessions.  Participants will have opportunities to play clients and to be in the therapist seat (“eeeek!”) and use the group and Craig to consult on options.

Please track how your clients “disconnect” in the weeks before the training, and bring your observations in for discussion.  Consider moments where it’s hard to see how they “disconnect” or how to intervene effectively.  These are wonderful for role plays.

Past participants have said that taking the risk in the group to explore their struggles has been the most growthful.  This training is about sustaining awareness for ourselves with those tough moments, and honoring our desires to serve our clients the best we can.
I encourage you to send me any questions you would like us to address during the training so I can try to organize our time to address your concerns.

Possible topics:

What helps us to see “process” better?

What are we looking for?

How does the therapist’s “position” facilitate this?

How to work these transitions:

  • Seeing dynamics that we could not see until they showed up in front of us

  • Clarifying what we are seeing without interpreting

  • Helping our clients recognize and feel them

  • Getting agreements that these dynamics are important enough for them to work on.

  • Tracking the subsequent activations that make holding these focuses difficult

The ways that we stay with the emerging processes shape the success of our therapy.
Working with the basics:

  • Drive to complete

  • Drive to protect

  • Needed resilience to create an environment where something new can happen.

“Whose discernment is it?”

Working dilemmas

The pieces that are all true don’t fit well together

“Disappointment holds what matters.”

“Confusion” dynamics, and fallout from disconnecting
